Bail has been set on six counts:

UPDATE: Ronald Kong was charged Monday with four counts of contempt of court and two counts of failure to appear. His bail is $4,100. As of Monday afternoon, all other potential charges were still under investigation by detectives and Kong remained in custody at the Hilo police cellblock.

So 4100 for those 6 charges, and likely a very small percentage of the LE expenses required to apprehend him this time around. Good call HOTPE and Flyingsurfer on the insanely low bail. Of course, it looks like many other charges are still being considered and could raise the bail total in the end. We'll have to see.

If you think the bail situation is a joke, just wait for him to be sentenced to probation!

IMO, He wont get bail because he ran from cops who stopped him in stolen truck, ran into bushes and hid.. also for the judge threats no bail ... so 2X no bail, even though the other fluff charges have a small bail he will not get out IMO

how can we get this, and every other piece of **** like this on the island, locked up? so sick of these scumbag thieves. i don't care what anybody else does with their lives, but don't steal from and/or hurt others.

One story mentioned they found explosives in a truck he had stolen.
