terracore, your dissertation warrants recognition. What a hell of an experience. You have the patience of a Saint, and the diligence of a Warrior!
OMG.[xx(] Confirmation that it's not always "paradise".
Good for you!

It was wonderful having a dishwasher for four months, but today the dishwasher quit working.
I had to take a deep breath, because I had purchased the extended warranty through Lowes, so I knew that I would immediately be met with a painful wall of intense frustration.
They didn't disappoint. I called their self-described-as-24-hour warranty help line and discovered that what that means is, you are free to call them 24 hours a day, however nobody will be available to answer the phone outside of bankers hours. Since it's still within the manufacturers warranty period I thought I might outwit The Devil and go through Whirlpool directly, but Satan was there waiting for me, laughed, pointed his long red finger at Lowes and told me to go back where I belonged. Back to Lowes Appliance Hell.
So back in Appliance Hell I wait.
I've had to use Home Depot warranty service and was pleasantly surprised.
How will Lowes compare?
Stay tuned, and find out.
BUT PLEASE PRAY FOR ME!

Home Depot comparison:
I wanted a laundry sink; the only one they had available at the store was more than $60; there was one on their website for $35, but they wouldn't let me order it online.
I had to go to the store and spend half an hour while they placed the order for me. Not waiting in line, waiting while she first wrote all the info down on a scrap of paper, then typed it into the computer. At the end, she wasn't sure if it would work.
I got an email that day with a tracking number to an address in California, which turned out to be the drop-shipper. After it got there, I had no way to track it, but about a month later it arrived at HD and I was able to pick it up.
Not such a bad deal, even with the additional shipping charge of $6.

Dishwasher still not working. Current date 9/29/16.
Will give update when situation resolved. In meantime: DON'T BUY AN APPLIANCE FROM LOWES. EVER.

Can you remind me the brand/model?
We got extended warranties on all our appliances, hope I never have to make use of them. The memories still fresh from the runaround I experienced when a Samsung TV failed and had to return it to Costco. Had to jump through a few flaming hopes before I was "allowed" to return it.

[:0] Good God, I admire your tenacity, and resolve. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER, buy an appliance from them again (our Waimea rental had some problems with them too, which were beyond comprehension; similar to your dilemma, and as frustrating. Customer service is an anomaly. [xx(] OMG.)

Product Information
Brand WHIRLPOOL

Model number WDP350PAAW
Ironically enough, I did hours of internet sleuthing and picked this model, despite being substantially more expensive than others, due to its high reliability rating and customer satisfaction. Other than the fact that it only lasted 4 months before dying, it was a great unit. Put dishes in without any pre treatment and they came out clean. And being extra tall can put plates etc on either rack.

Sorry to hear of the royal screw you are getting thus far. If "all the lights are on, but nobody's home", it may be the wire on the safety lockout has disconnected, as that is what happened to mine years ago (older model). The switch is in the door, and my numerous slamming the door shut dislodged it from the switch. All the tech did was pull the front skin, exposing the switch, found the disconnected wire, "tightened" the spade terminal on the end of the wire, re connect and put the cover back on.
I know you are still under warranty, so you may not want to investigate, but if push comes to shove...
