Back on topic....

“According to HVO Seismic Network Manager Brian Shiro, the deep earthquake was due to bending of the oceanic plate from the weight of the island and poses no significant hazard,” USGS reported.

I guess it was 29 miles deep and upgraded to a 4.5.

Last I checked, there was no rule or code or zoning which "requires" people to live near PGV. If it's so dangerous and unhealthy, move already.

What's that? You "can't afford" to move? Excuse me, why is that my problem, and why should I be expected to pay for your relocation?

It's like buying a house by the airport, then working diligently to get the airport shut down because it's so noisy.

In any case, the argument is tiring; I'm going to find something more productive to do with my time.
