Oahu sends on one way tickets to hilo their homeless and car thieves .
A few years back , maybe 15 or 20 yrs ago,the gangs on oahu,would fly on Aloha airlines to hilo on a sunday - steal cars from airport parking and crime spree all of Puna .
Then they would fill up a container and ship their stolen goodies back to oahu and fly back to Oahu a few days later on Hawaiian.
H.A. got hit really hard as did HPP.
Mainland states give homeless an option,Hilo - Oahu or Fair banks AK.
One way tickets to paradise.Even today in hilo we met a newly arrived homeless couple from east coast who had their way paid one way on United to Hilo.
What is fair for oahu should be fair for big island ,

Regarding supervised release: In many jurisdictions there are stiff penalties for a 3rd party custodian that does not contact the police immediately when their charge skedaddles. This kind of release and re-offending happens daily around here, it seems. So what's the point? I never hear about custodians being held responsible.

But the judges continue to buy in to the defense strategy of "he's a good boy with a family that will keep an eye on him."

Hogwash! I say.
