Missing Man

I disagree, quite a few people do not subscribe to the local paper. And how many of us pull up the paper on-line everyday. What Damon posts, are articles relating to Hawaii and many of them are interesting. I have a choice whether I want to click on Damon's latest posts![Smile]

How about a compromise? Damon has his own thread called "Dateline Damon- March" or "Damon's Daily News Bites for March" where he can post daily news bylines? Make a new thread each month so the thread doesn't get to ginormous to be useful? Would that make folks happier-ish?

Just looking for a happy medium - trying to be a Libra, LOL.

Something many may not realize, you can update your thread title & your thread additions, something I have done for a couple of items. That way your not adding to the archived thread load .... Also the non-calssifieds are a great place for things of interest for only a month or so, as they expire & are not archived.... But I have way over added to my forum count this week..... (can you tell a paper is due???? - AHHH, procrastination is my best inspiration!)

Thanks Hooligal for trying to look at all options. I myself would feel stupid having a thread just dedicated to myself, and I don't want a zoo besides that, it would get boring real quick.[^]

There is a real simple solution if you don't like reading the threads that I start.

Don't read em [Big Grin] And if you don't want them moved to the "Front Page" .... then don't reply to them either... and they will slowly drift off into the sunset as people lose interest in them.

There are some 2004 plus topics and to get hung up on the front page is kind of ridiculous.

There is drop down box at the bottom of the forums to move onto another page of topics...etc.

I'd like to thank the people that have emailed me in support. I'm not going to list everyone... but you guys know who you are.

And if anyone wants to ask me a question off of Punaweb, I'm open to that too.

Carey,

As more and more members come to PW... there of course will be more to reply to and assist.

I hope your "Counts" go up.

Why are people so hung up on counts?

I type very fast and can probably post 3 posts in the time that it takes most people to post 1 post?

Carey -

I think your information is very valuable and I appreciate your posts.

My goodness, people- way to get off track!
I believe the topic here is this missing fella. As anyone who has actually LIVED in puna knows, these missing people cases take everybody's help.
It is our responsibility, our kuleana, to do anything we can, even if you're too laid back to actually go out and look for the guy or ask questions or keep your eyes peeled for the car he got into- at least let those who give a crap do their part.
post counts- how petty!
