Tulsi Gabbard Running For President
#11
Whats the deal with people starting threads and now setting content rules
I think we only have ONE Punaweb President who does this
.

Yes, I agree, Rob sets the content rules. I probably should have written my suggestion as a reminder that we follow Rob’s request for Punatalk:

Note: National and world politics are not allowed. Local,
Hawaii County and State of Hawaii politics are allowed.

glinda - But hey, this is the Trump era, and even Tusli has begun her campaign by attacking her own peers, which I would have guessed she would want to nurture closer relationships with, rather the contentions she has created.

bold by me...a bigot is a bigot and was called on it...bout time

There's the problem right there. The party has to bless candidates? How un-puna-like.

I like the idea of a Tulsi run. She certainly seems less Hawaii Democrat machine, has a military background and was not afraid to get her hands dirty during the 2nd to last Volcanic event a few years ago I believe in uniform in a national guard capacity (please correct me if I am wrong). She also most importantly IS rough around the edges (as an appeal Trump was able to capitalize on). She also is not a far left as far as I know compared to Warren or Sanders but more moderate on a national stage and seemingly more practical to non liberals than the socialist pitchfork crowd. Certainly seems more moderate which could win.

3. Born in American Samoa
Trump will threaten to sue her like he threatened Ted Cruz (Canada) or he may claim she was born in Kenya.

I’ll answer my own question.
IT IS possible to keep the cast of non-Puna related characters out of this discussion.
So please do.
Thanks.

I'm confused. Is Bernie from Hawaii and why are there multiple exclamation points?

"As I recall, she endorsed Bernie!!!"

We all did. Bernie won the 2016 primary here in Hawai'i by a landslide. Christ you're an idiot.

To be honest I want somebody old and male and probably white, not because I am hung up on such things but because the majority of the voting public is and we need somebody GUARANTEED to defeat Trump.

It would in fact be icing on the cake to have a young Hindu woman defeat him but we can't afford to get cocky here.

ETA: Also it should be about who is most qualified not about gender, age, or religion. Almost forgot that. Playing favorites based on gender, religion, or race is wrong, correct?
