Tulsi Gabbard Running For President
#1
How will Tulsi’s run affect her constituents here in a Puna? Will it help with recovery efforts after the lava flow? Or will we become an afterthought?

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) said Friday she has decided to run for president in 2020.
"I have decided to run and will be making a formal announcement within the next week," she told CNN's Van Jones in an interview set to air Saturday.

Tulsi represents Puna.
Is it possible to keep the cast of non-Puna related characters out of this discussion?
I’ll answer my own question.
IT IS possible to keep the cast of non-Puna related characters out of this discussion.
So please do.
Thanks.

Tulsi represents Puna....

I sort of get the feeling that is in name only at this point. She has done her best to alienate herself from her peers and is focused on national attention. Combined I would say that has rendered her 100% ineffectual as far as our representation goes.

Tulsi, Puna, President ... You can only pick TWO at a time to preserve that hotpe

Whats the deal with people starting threads and now setting content rules + who is / is not allowed to reply ?

I think we only have ONE Punaweb President who does this.

I like Tulsi just fine. But, the right wing will attack her like a school of sharks because she is 1. a woman, and 2. not a Christian. She is a Hindu.

Hey, I like Tulsi, and genuinely feel she could be leader type material, but she is young, and that renegade edge that adds to her appeal is a little rough, and as such seems to be exposing inexperience that could hinder her until she learns to tame it.

I do not think Tulsi has built a wide enough base, nor has she been around long enough to have created a network, a coalition of like minded politicians that it takes to run the executive branch.

All told I would have wished for Tulsi to run a few more rounds in the house and then, with the parties blessing, move into the senate long before she has matured into a viable candidate for the presidency.

But hey, this is the Trump era, and even Tusli has begun her campaign by attacking her own peers, which I would have guessed she would want to nurture closer relationships with, rather the contentions she has created.

Of course, if Tulsi becomes the party's choice I will follow. But I doubt there's much of a chance of that.

Even myself, who hates politics and btw wonders if this thread should be in the other section at the bottom that I ignore, (the politics section of Puna Web), that being said, I would make it a point to go vote for her.
