new poll shows erosion of support for the TMT

people on Puna Web are small part of the population of Hawaii but have any of you been.. on the mountain?

So a minority group can call the other minority group small?

No rainyjim, I don't work for the state or the county. Never have. Not sure how you arrived at that suspicion by my asking questions about the how the poll results affect people's opinions.
Certainty will be the death of us.

Better poll questions:

"Do you agree with the AG's assessment that the protestors are unlawfully blocking the Mauna Kea Access Road?"

"Do you agree with the City of Honolulu's assessment that the protestors are unlawfully blocking access to Sherwood?"

Law enforcement chose to enforce one but not the other. What does the public think?

What about Larry Ellisons development plans for Lanai? I am sure there are sacred sites on that island, but not a peep from the “protectors”.

Not sure this is a fair comparison; Larry Ellison could buy the TMT with money scrounged from his couch cushions.

The most telling stat is that it's a statistical tie between approval of the protests and wanting the TMT.

Larry Ellison could buy the TMT with money scrounged from his couch cushions.

He could probably coax the protestors off Mauna Kea Access Road with a generous donation to "Hawaiian Causes, LLC." From the tips he gives wait help, bell hops, and valet parking attendants over an average month.

If a referendum came in 99% against the TMT, it should still get built, because TMT on Mauna Kea is legal and much better than TMT on a Canary Island.

But then again, as I like to quote, “even reason can’t defeat unreason”.

By definition, over half the population has an IQ of 100 or less.

Perhaps you meant “polled about the TMT”?

No. I haven’t.
