far less a prob than FL Black Berry or the worst one Himalayan Raspberry

You mean Himalayan BLACKberry, right? Speaking from someone who owns 4 acres in Western Oregon, the worst weed, ever. Done my time against all the usual Big Island weeds, and nothing comes close to how horrible himalayan blackberry is. Every time you go near it, you end up covered in bloody scratches and embedded with the broken tips of thorns in your fingertips (even wearing gloves). I have thimbleberry too, and consider it preferable.

Dammit. I was up in Kahuku unit of HVNP, up near the top, and there it was. Rubus armeniacus, my arch nemesis.

I told the park ranger, tried to convey how horrible it is. I followed up with a email to the park service. Hope someone listens. Kill it, now, with extreme prejudice.

It would be good to also notify the Invasive Species Committee at (808) 933-3340.
Certainty will be the death of us.
