you're joking right? I never heard of a flea collar working better than any of the brands that treat Heartworms. Where I live in HPP none of my animals get fleas or ticks. My one Pit Bull had fleas as a puppy where she was born. But once I took her home that was it.
You folks also have the option of going to a 'Feed Store', and you can pick up Heart Worm meds there in liquid form. In the long run it's cheaper, especially if you got several animals to deal with.

I thought you had to have a prescription for heart worm. That's what we were told by Del's and we had to go to the vet for that.
I am in HPP too and we have had a lot of problems with ticks. Our dog chases a cat that lives in the jungle next to us. We use advantage too but the ticks were found in her ear. Yuck!

thanx Tom, but if they get past the dogs then they still have to get past the cameras, locks and me! my bird would eat you alive! 10,000 pounds per square inch on his beak, my partner wont even touch him.[
