Can someone please explain about the beatings you're talking about? This is new to me. I don't spend much time in Pahoa ... is it safe to walk down main street or not? or are certain people targeted or what?

Can someone give a description of the criminals? Can Rude Dogg put the video up for any one to see them and maybe identify?
In some many posts (11?) I haven't seen one describing them, possible vehicle, etc?
That might be helpful info too.

most of the stuff i've heard about was happening out in front of shakas or luquins parking lot or nearby,they were having alot of problems there, like 6-10 on 1 beatdowns ,robberies,and 1 death recently,3-4 young guys(16-20?) were arrested for it, bailed out then left the country .but the real sad thing is none of it makes the news ,so unless you're there and listen to the street talk you dont hear about it.i think it's safe to walk down the streets, for me ,im 6' 215 lbs and not scared to,but you never know ,possibly my day will come.i say just use your better judgement,if you dont feel safe ,you're probably not......anyhow most of this kinda stuff happens late nite,under the cover of darkness when the police are nowhere to be seen till after the fact..(like always)

i talked to a couple of the other victims today,they saw 2 honda civic hatchbacks w/turbo (loud) mufflers flee the scene..i've seen the video of luquins being robbed(for the last 4 months around the 20-25th ea month) and it's the same guys(local) each time.they are all young ,i've heard they are 16-20yrs old.one has a arm band real high up on his left arm like maybe barb wire(youngest one) ,but its real high up on his arm nearer to his shoulder,the other one had kind of a cross on his left fore arm and other tats also,the other one wore glasses and a grey tap out sweat shirt,blk shorts and i think a lil facial hair.i'll get a better description when i get to see the video again,i was so pissed at the time i seen it.i'll try to get the video to post ,but i think damon might do better at that, cause i think luquins is tired of me hounding them to see the video again.i do have someone who is willing to id them if we get to see the video again...id 'em but wont testify against 'em for fear of a beat down or a stabbing,he dont want to become a victim...understandably

We just went for a long walk in HPP along Beach. When coming back on Paradise Alakai, there were 2 unmarked police cars (with light on top) followed by a third marked Hawaii Police 4x4. I thought something "big" was going on, but now I'm thinking it's the caravan thing going on, but in response to the recent break-ins here in HPP.
With all the roads in HPP, though, I agree it would make more sense to spread the vehicles out a bit and cover more streets that way.

From what I've observed the rats come out at night to prey on people that take to be easy marks or ones that they can gang up on. During the day they may be there also, but are waiting for the cloak of darkness to get the opportunity to make their moves. Afterall there is rarely if ever anyone to stop or apprehend them.
