Current update: We finally had the inspection two weeks after asking the electrician for submittal. The bad news: the inspector is saying there are 13 circuits and the water pump connection omitted from the permit request. Most of the other items are minor, but once again a delay that may cost us a lot in financing costs. Yes, we could go after the GC, but we have no desire to make attorneys rich. Just hope no one else uses this electrician unless you are prepared to bring legal action.

I totally "second" Kathy's endorsement of Renee De La Cruz. A more honest contractor I have never encountered. She arrives as scheduled, communicates well, did a job that stymied others, did it right and charge me a fair price (and refunded when a inadvertently overpaid her). I am sure there are other good electrical contractors out there, but I was very pleased with Renee as a contractor and as a person.
