Dish network or Oceanic Cable???
#11
That is true, although when anything is going on with the power I unplug my TV anyway because I don't want it to get fried (I have a surge protector, but I still do it).

Does DISH have HD now? I'm totally addicted to HD, and once having it, when I watch anything else it looks awful to me now that I'm used to crystal clear picture.

Note: the fact that my current topic of interest here is about television does not escape me. There were decades I didn't own a TV, refused to have a TV, but TV has come a long way.

What about DirectTV? We have DISH now in SF area, but I was thinking of changing when we move to HPP.

Does anyone know if Oceanic is all the way down to Kaloli point in HPP yet? I just ordered service from them for below Beach Road and they scheduled it. I am worried they went ahead and scheduled though it's not available down that far yet. Thanks.

Mark can't wait.

The only ways you lose your signal with satellite is if you have the dish pointed incorrectly or you don't have the larger dish to make up for the reduced signal strength of living in Hawaii. During even the hardest rains the past few days, we never lost signal.

KathyH - DISH Network has the most true HD channels by far and has had them for several years.

Mark, as far as I know, Oceanic cable is readily available at Kaloli Point.

Aloha - Jerry!

Do tell!

How far down Macuu are they going?
How far left and right down the intersecting roads?
When is it expected to be completed?

Mahalo!

Aloha Menehune,

The post you quoted is almost a year old, so I'm not sure how much farther down they have gone. I do know that relatively few people here on Railroad signed up for the service. You might want to call Oceanic to see how much farther they have gone.

Cheers,
Jerry
