wouldn't you like to know

I would like to understand. IMHO as a real estate agent in hawaii this even has something to do with your business.

making a rough guestimation i would guess that 20% of the topics are similar to what i posted(could be hawaii spec not ONLY hawaii). I also think that The moderator has attempted to read my mind and even include his opinion on "why" i posted the Original (deleted thread), if you read his reasons.

I think it is valid to point out the double standard maintained on this site, and have it on the record (if thats tolerated). I also find it humorous that not all of the moderators even live in the Puna district

Man, just move on! I had posts removed and I'm sure others had them removed too, nobody made a fuss about it. Move on!

Please feel free to bring forth data on the sea level at Hilo Harbor then.

If you want to discuss glaciers in the Himalayas or Arctic ice pack find another venue to do so or by all means create your own. It may well be that Puna could use another forum for such broader discussions. There is Puna Online which is not as restrictive as Punaweb. But you already know that.

I launched Punaweb seven years ago for community interests and connectives and I intend to keep it that way. I do encourage you to develop and expand your interests in any way you see fit - just respect the parameters under which Punaweb operates. I have resigned myself to the fact that I can't please everybody all the time.
Assume the best and ask questions.

good grief, 808. It's Rob's website. If you don't like the range of topics, start your own website. At the point where Punaweb is a democracy funded by subscriptions donated by members, then a member has the right to agitate. Until then, NOT. Rob does this for the community, but by being so generous he doesn't make himself answerable to everyone who signs up. Let it go.

As has been said before far to many times, but still rings true. If you don't like it here, move. Rob does his best to try to herd all the cats that make up Puna Web and does a damn good job. Give it up for God's sake.[Sad]

Can I just say ditto? I don't post much, but I really enjoy this section on my hope to be home!

place for the first time.

Great job as always, Rob. No problems with moderating decisions.

Living on an island as we do, I think the possibility of rising sea levels (and, in the larger sense, climate change effects) is of VITAL importance to us Punatics. However, I certainly respect Rob's prerogative and judgement to accept or decline topics. It's Rob's forum, and he gives generously of his time to make this happen.

Not sure why people prefer to get BANNED rather than quietly leave or just accept what we like here.
