Hilo demo: NO to Offshore Oil Drilling...
#11
Frankie, sorry that my post came off negative, but I was just trying to get people to think about how to do this in as sustainable a way (I am a big advocate for reducing our oil dependance)
Things like:
biking/walking to the site
arranging for carpooling to the site
taking the early Saturday HeleOn bus if you are on the Nanawale-Pahoa route or the Volcano-Hilo route
making signs of non-petro materials or re-used waste materials (things like banners from old worn-out clothing & such)

It's great that people are finally trying to make a point, that should have been done many years ago. It really sucks, that we always wait for a disaster, to voice our concerns.
The sad thing about this oil spill, there is a proven remedy at Tech Trans Unlimited Corp, that is not being used. Why? The White House had solar panels installed in the 70's, Reagan removed them, when he took office. Why? Money talks and Congress likes the finer things in life. They do not care who they hurt along the way. The oil companies have been buying Congress for years! [V]
