Breakfast on the Big Island

the only Dennys on the island is located in Kona which is 100 miles from Hilo, West side of the island.

Oh, that's right! And I hear it has a beautiful view!!! And I here I am dissing Denny's. I don't think I will be able to make it over there in time for breakfast though. If we can't find a place that suits us, we'll just start knocking on doors in HSRE and see who lets us in.

Glen, mentioned your ? at a party tonight, add Pescatore's in downtown Hilo I thought the only had Sunday brunch, but now they have daily breakfast starting at 8:30am - in a warm intimate old turn of the century building) 235 Keawe (one block up from Bayfront) for a delicious breakfast with a lot of nice touches, also The Isles Cafe - 93 Lihiwai and a small storefront diner (I thing Ohana Cafe??) on Keawe, a block over from the farmers market (another idea, esp. if you are in on Wednesday or Saturday)

cafe 100! everything comes with an egg, and there's lots of "colorful characters" there! ha ha...

seriously though, cafe 100 is ono! hawai'ians know how to eat and pile it on!
