I hope they washed their hands after using the toilet. Sigh. Icky....

All the chicken was too close to to other meats. Especially the sashimi. The bins looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time and there was a bad rotten smell.
The storage bins at foodland looked much cleaner when I went there just 30 minutes later. The Poke looked better too.

I must say -- I got some bad chicken once at Foodland - didn't look at the date - immediately obvious the second I took it out of the bag when I got home. {heave heave} I took it back and not only did they give me a refund, they doubled the refund (as is their policy on rotten meat) AND the butcher came out to apologize to me. I blamed myself bc I didn't look at the date (and frankly for not knowing what the date WAS), but they totally blamed themselves for leaving it out there for purchase.

So back to the Burger King thing...
I don't think there are pesticides in the buns or the fries...well, I know I'll get a debate from saying that, but damn, with all the creepy crawly stuff people are passing around you'd think they could at least wear gloves! Also - seriously - what about the washing their hands thing? You never know! Once years ago I bought fish sticks at a store I don't usually go to. When I took the box out of the freezer and they thawed a bit I thought I would barf. They were freakin' green and the smell of decomp was large. It was like watching an episode of Bones. I put them in a ziplock and froze them until I could take them back to the store. They were actually a little snooty about it! Asked me if I wanted another box. ROFLOL! Generally, most kitchen workers, cooks, chefs don't use gloves. Especially anywhere near heat. I tend to see gloves at delis and sushi restaurants, grocery stores. Fingers crossed about the hand washing and that goes for everywhere.

Doesn't Burger King get all their foods shipped in by the case lot? What do you suppose the Burger King slaughterhouse and food prep factories look like? Why worry about mere bare hands?

the employees at most places we eat out don't wear gloves. the health department says there is no law that requires them to wear gloves. hope they wash their hands a lot.

It's a personal decision I made.
I haven't always been a fishatarian. I do remember deer backstrap. I might eat that again sometime. Men in my family have a history of heart problems from consuming Red meat mostly. I've made a conscious decision to try and live longer without Heart surgery.
