Upholsterers/ cushion cleaners
#11
I know you asked for the Hilo side but if you are discerning, Vasey in Kona near Costco does professional work at a very reasonable price. They also have fabrics to choose from and can replace your existing worn out foam.
I know this business very well and can recommend them without hesitation...worth the drive there and back for something you will be using daily for years. They are very nice as well.

Thank You Wyline. We are going over to Kona tomorrow for just that reason. We will definitely go to Vasey. There just doesn't seem to be very many upholsterers on this side of the island. And the ones I checked out here ....their patterns and material seem to be 25 years behind the times (old Florida condo designs like you would see on the old hit show "The Golden Girls"

Just want to say thanks to Wyline for the "Vasey" recommendation. It was excellent!. The selection was great! We found the material and the style we wanted and the price was almost "half" what upholsters on the Hilo side wanted. Needless to say we are having our entire living room furniture re-done with them. They were also very nice people and very helpful

Macuu222 - I have to do the same thing as you, sofa and loveseat cushions need replacing or cleaning and need new foam. Would you be kind enough to say what the rough cost was? I've never had anything reupholstered and have no idea how to budget this (and a little too busy to explore options during the day!)

Thanks!
Tom

Sofa, Love seat and 1 chair.... Total of 12 pillows plus 4 smaller throw pillows for a total of 16....$800.00 for material and labor (and that includes tax) Our foam was OK...and didn't need replacing. But they do that also if need be

No...It will take two visits. The material we wanted was in Honolulu. So we have to wait until Wednesday. But we normally go to Kona once a month to shop at Costco anyway....so we figure adding on the cost of one tank of gas to the price. Still very reasonable
