As for "commons". They are still up in New England in every town and I was always told they were for 'common grazing" for the horses and sheep of the people that came into town to the markets. I have never heard of trying to grow crops there.

If you make friends here, no need to forage.... you get more bananas, mango, zucchini, avos, etc {when they are in season) given to you!

and you give back whatever you grow that is abundance.

or .... like my one friend, she doesnt have anything to give back so she makes everyone banana, mango, zucchini bread - whatever is in season.
