SBH nobody has ruined Punaweb, everyone has the right to express their opinion, just like you have the choice whether to read it and respond!
I like that Rob keeps Punaweb, Hawaii-related, and that is what we agreed to when we registered.
(oops, corrected spelling of SBH name)

That was also my sentiments about your post, in which you conveniently threw in a Hawaii connection to bypass the rules! South would also be at the bottom of my list as far as music choice!

Okay folks, here's the deal. Punaweb was formed to provide the residents of Puna a venue to discuss things related to or about Puna and Hawaii. My reasoning is that there are a thousand places to rant about national or world politics and several thousand other sites to discuss arcane subjects like your favorite songs of the south.
There is precisely one site where you get to talk story local and it serves it's purpose.
So while I try to be relatively easy going about this stuff and while I know that stuff slips in from time to time my intention is to keep the focus local....and I will need your help to do that.

TROLLing here is the problem.
Never having posted here before, it is plain for anyone who has ever been on the internet, that PaulW trolls people who post.
WE all know what trolling is. And it is plain for all to see PaulW is a troll. I never talk to trolls. This is addressed to the site admin.
Pay the troll toll if you wish too.
The problem at hand; It IS the TROLL, not the subject.

Rob - I was writing my reply to Hikatz regarding how Punaweb has been ruined by PaulW before your posting. If I may..

Ok whatever Mrs. PaulW or are you just sticking up for your fellow Brtitish chap? Of course you would love anything from British Broadcasting. I have been reading Punaweb for 8 of it's 10 years and have seen what PW has done to this site in just the past few years. Many people don't even post anymore because him.

Car park in Keaau? Where are you from England or Australia?
This isn't London Pauly. Your obviously not American, but you sure are opinionated about our country.
Today in OUR country we celebrate the 4th of July, and it was MY ancestor, Robert Treat Paine who signed the Declaration of Independence on this date to be rid of the British!
Tally ho chaps and enjoy your tea and crumpets today.

Wait just a minute now. I dislike the constant snarkiness and general disagreeable attitude of the troll as much as the next person. Attacking someone based on where they were born or raised is just the height of ignorance. Regardless of where any PunaWebber is from - they are here now and have as much right to the dialog as anyone else!
Even if they choose to be the Eyeore of the group!
Nationalism. What a joke.
Enjoy your fireworks safely please.

Only pointing out why she may be defending him. I have no intention to attack anyone regarding nationality and who lives here now, I apologize if that's how it sounded.. The Native Hawaiians should be the only ones allowed to do that here!

"I could never understand ethnic or national pride. Because to me, pride should be reserved for something you achieve or attain on your own, not something that happens by accident of birth. Being Irish isn't a skill, it's a f**king genetic accident. You wouldn't say "I'm proud to be 5"11" or "I'm proud to have a pre-disposition to colon cancer." So why the f**k would you be proud to be Irish or proud to be Italian or American or anything?"

Brit..... as in Sandwhich Islands ---- from my pers pective there is a very large Brit contribution to Hawaiian culture
If I remember right it was hijacked Brit cannons that "unified" the Islands....
and I dont spell for beans but like to use colour and favour just to upset the english teachers
That extra vowel kinda like how they make an infinity out of a toyota as well - grin
