Helping a Family in need question
#21
It would be nice to see a picture of the pile of gifts! Smile Wish I could donate some Funds but... Maybe I will next year. I'll look for stuff on sale and get my own pile going. Don't see any reason why to pay retail. Smile Happy Holidays!

Mahalo to all who donated.

Had fun picking out 4 hello kitty gifts. I could not reach Anna, so will try taking it to the school. Happy holiday to all of us.

I understand why Chinese products are cheaper than American products (I do) but I wondered if anyone can tell me if you can see the Great Wall of Chine from Space? I'd like to know. But please don't tell me, "I have to take a space shuttle to find out." Sorry, I thought we were interjecting completely useless and random things that have nothing to do with this thread.

I spoke to Anna this morning to let her know we would be dropping of our items today and she was extremely grateful and had mentioned that she had received several phone calls and that some people had already dropped off donations.

I love how one simple idea can have such a great impact on a small community.

Yeah, Anna came by and pick up the stack of stuff I had. Nice to meet her. I'm grateful to Hawaii Bound for launching this. Good idea.

For anyone who donated money to Rob or gave gifts, they would like to send a thank you card. If you could please email me your name and address and I will get it over to Anna.

Thank you to everyone who helped out. She stated that in year's past there is one family that donates and this year they will be able to help out a lot more families!

P.S. I did ask if she had an opportunity if she could take a photo of the gifts and email over to me. She said she would. I will share once I have it.

When I stopped by this morning, Anna was *very* appreciative, almost on the verge of tears. At one point she said "for some of these children, just getting one gift on Christmas will be a new experience." If you haven't had a chance to bring anything over, you have until Wednesday. I recommend you do if can - it's the best Christmas gift you can give yourself!

Thank you all for the generous gifts for our Children at Pahoa Elementary. We will giving out these gifts to our students this evening at our Christmas Family Night. Distribution of these gifts will be given first priority to our MVA (homeless) children. There will be alot of happy children tonight as we give out these gifts.

Thank you for all those people who dropped off items on such short notice. Mahalo to Heath for the initial call, Rob, Christine, and everyone who donated. ( I didn't get a chance to get all your names). We got donations of clothes, toys, dolls, shoes, socks, underwear, boogie boards, food, books, stuffed dolls/animals, board games, art craft sets and many other gifts. Mahalo Puna!!

From the Santa Workshop at Pahoa Elementary School. Amber, Onveva, Maddie, Mila, Ala and Anna

Thank you also, KAPA radio, The Food Basket and Hawaii Island United Way for the generous donation of food bags for our families. Merry Christmas!!!
