You do know Wille, Ford and Ruderman are government, don't you? Your "chosen" representatives and they determined this was what you wanted. They got south Hawaii island worked up enough to bully pulpit it through. So, the Hawaii island county council was able to be the mouse that roared. That was worth something to someone somewhere. It is a lot of job security for the legions of bureaucrats and lawyers that form a line back and forth to the mainland, many on government contract dollars financed by taxes.
