If eyeliner has any kind if flammability, then it is a legit issue. I've not had any random issues with Amazon. There was always a reason.

Dang. I definitely looked at getting one of these from Amazon. Where did you end up getting yours then?

(but if you do order an item that's "fulfilled" and you don't like it, you have to deal with that 3rd party. So I only do that if I'm sure about it.

To clarify, if it ships from Amazon (fulfilled by amazon) you don't deal with a 3rd party for returns. Amazon handles everything and the only difference is that Amazon never took ownership of the item, the merchant leases warehouse space from Amazon. It's when you buy something that is listed on Amazon (but not sold or fulfilled by Amazon- the merchant sells, ships he order, Amazon only lists the item and completes the transaction on their behalf) that you deal with that company for returns. Most of the time these companies are amicable about returns, because if Amazon gets too many complaints about them (it used to be 1% of sales, not sure what it is now) Amazon will drop that merchant's product from their listings.

hey shave ice, sadly, our quest has been fruitless. Let me know if you find a source, please. I wasn't the one looking into this, but my memory of what I was told is we could get a Soda Stream but we couldn't get the refill cylinders, so it would be a waste.

Cost-U-Less sells the Cuisinart version of Soda Stream and has cylinders too - at least they did the last few times I've been there. They're in the front part, Hilo side of the store with all the kitchen supplies.

Thanks so much, KeaauRich. [Smile] I just made my weekly run there, but next time I'll look.
We also looked at Macys.com and they sold the SodaStream, but no cylinders to Hawai'i.

After striking out, we got a refillable C02 cylinder and charged it, but couldn't find any water flavoring that didn't taste weirdly artificial. We don't like artificial sweeteners, and we wanted it for sparkling water, not soda pop. Anyone have any suggestions? We tried a few on Amazon, and the last one was $25 and tasted awful. Don't want to buy the system now unless I can find good flavoring.

DT, sorry about going on a tangent. I will start my own if it bothers you.
Is the mascara not available in the stores here? As a thought - I don't use mascara much any more, but I have gotten lots of high quality mascaras in those free gifts from Clinique, Shiseido, Estee Lauder, etc.. They often seem to throw in mascara and eye make up remover in those gifts. I just like the lipsticks. (Of course it is not free, gift with purchase of something overpriced.)

Call Target in Hilo, they sell them, they are $14.99 but show limited availability on the web site now, so try call them first, they can hold them at the counter for you.

Also, Walmart in Hilo is showing them in stock in the store. Item # 0081136900122

I have also in the past ordered them from kitchencouture.net they sell the 130L for $63.00 but with free shipping, and you can pay with your amazon card if you have one with amazon checkout on their site, and they sill ship to hawaii last time i ordered was about 3 months ago.

I've called customer service and they've reimbursed me for shipping fees when the product stated free shipping.

Fwiw, there are "forwarding" services available through the internet.

For a small fee, they will attempt to "forward" anything they receive addressed to you to whatever address you give them.

This is a useful service for those who travel alot but may not be worth it for a one time item.
