Black Sand Beach is too small to be nude

Yes you do have to walk down the cliff to the beach. Why the confusion? Are there other beaches in Puna that I am not aware of? This is a case sensitive issue for Puna. The fact that there aren't beaches here. This excludes people who don't care to see OPP.
(Other People's privates). They don't call em "Privates" for nothing.
I'm not going to bring it up again but I bet we haven't heard the end of this.

OPP's are we back in third grade. I suppose you think animals should wear clothes? and what about a dog or cat that can lick their opp's I envy them if I could do that I wouldnt need to be married and would probably never leave the house[Big Grin]

I have not been there in years because, to me, it has become a bit pilau. But years ago, there was an understanding that weekdays were for clothes optional and weekends were not. Thus, you could have it both ways.

Whoa,I didn't mean to open up such a can of worms. Just trying to maintain a sense of Humor. Wearing clothes sets us apart from the animals.Personally I could'nt care less if a lost boy was in the Naupaka rubbing one out.
It is Kinda pilau with the Hippies.
I wasn't aware that weekends people wear something to cover their Package or Box. Is that true?

Kimo, the far end of Kehena Beach always has been a nude beach, I thought you were referring to Punalu'u. You will never change Kehena.

I guess it is Punalu'u. Close to Kalapana. Hike down the cliff.
I'm not against the Idea in general with some guidelines. I don't think Children shouldn't be at a Nude beach watching some guy do hand stands in the shorebreak... Swinging. It wasn't pretty. Not what I saw .It was pretty Wierd.

Just to be clear:
- the nudist beach is indeed Kehena
- you have to go down a fairly steep cliff to get there so people aren't going to wander in by accident
- no tour buses
- I've only been there on the weekend and it's definitely clothes optional (ie nudist) then; Sunday is the busy day with the hippy music
- no toilets but they have dug a latrine out the back. Not ideal, but better than nothing
- it's a black sand beach but at the water level it's pebbles and rocks. It's also at a bit of an angle, leading to dumping waves when I've been there and I've been smacked down quite hard. I'd only let a kid swim there if it was very calm.

If you're going to have a nudist beach, I'd say it's the ideal location. It's not really a suitable place for kids - not that I think seeing nudity is bad for kids, or anyone. Bit of a shock if you haven't seen it before but that wears off very quickly. Enjoy!
