Wasn't the popular vote difference less than 1%? Hardly a trouncing.

According to the Associated Press at 9:03 a.m. HST, the popular vote was Obama 52.3% and McCain 46.4%, almost a six point spread. IMHO, both candidates were gracious and conciliatory in their speeches last night, and both were mercifully short.
Cheers,
Jerry

Yay! He won, in spite of the Republican guy who called on the cops on me for demonstrating my woohoos too loudly in Pahoa Town yesterday
Stay tuned for the news story, if it actually makes the paper.
I'm so thrilled our 44th president is a brilliant, graceful, articulate and generally wonderful man of color. [:X]

Sorry to disappoint, I hold no party affiliation.
If I did, it would be Libertarian. But then I never did follow the crowd.

Oh, and I would not have called the police... Having lived through 3 elections where the President was from my home state and won, I expected all Hawaiians to have been in the streets...

what kind of corrupt economic model demands products made by slave labor in communist china in order to create profits for itself at the expense of American jobs and wages? china is no economic success story...the gap between haves and have-nots is accelerating there as well..fair trade...not free trade...
when henry ford told the head of the union he didn't need to pay high wages for skilled labor anymore because of the success of the assembly line he was asked..'great...so who's going to buy those cars?'
illegal immigration hurts those at the lowest level of income the most not the top...h1-b visas are destroying wages of the the tech field now...
