Yeah, let's give it a rest.
Assume the best and ask questions.

Anyone interested in the FACTS can look up the rainfall map on my web site.

either apologize to the good folks in acres or give it a rest would be my position

those who claim superior knowledge need to take superior care not to spread characterizations or injure, you missed the mark in my opinion and my and your comment stand at this writing

Even in jest, an agent is charged with never denigrating an area You blew it John - I took the class too.

The issue isn't rain - Its an agent bashing an area in public. If you want to get to the bottom ..... we could move from here to a formal complaint if you'd like to sort it out in the proper arena. Ill be going to town to today I will make the inquiries if you like

or we could give it a rest like I suggested in the previous post - your call

BW, Perhaps since I own in Fern Acres, I can comment. Facts are that it does rain a bit more in Fern Acres, and it does not get as hot as in HPP. No denegration that I see. Just plain facts.

my source note 95 inches for the year in Hilo

117 in mountain view ...

more rainy days, or more rain when it does fall (adiabatic lapse rate driven precipitation) would be the next item to sort out if you are interested in facts, but lets put this characterization to bed

The map being a really good non subjective tool for buyers

Kona sucks. It's much too sunny, and there's too little shade.

Am I missing something? This thread was/still is, about CRIME in Fern Acres! Here's the original post:

"Aloha all, we are considering a move from HPP to Fern Acres in a month, and I was wondering what the crime is like in Fern Acres? How do the two areas compare? We are fairly new to the island so I don't know much about the different residential areas, so any input is much appreciated!"

OK, I know it rains, and I know from experience some of those selling Real Estate don't like the Acres. So what? Could we try to help out the original poster with some intelligent responses to the question, or failing that, just move on?
