I read the article and scrolled down for the comments:

"never trust a guy that says "never trust a realtor"

That was back in 2006 so Caveat Emptor.

That was probably one of those real estate agents who was "selling shoes yesterday".I'd take the advice from John Rabi and deal with a broker only.

The last time I checked everybody in every business is trying to make money. If they didn't than they couldn't pay your salary and you wouldn't have a paycheck. The difference between the bad ones and the good ones is that the bad ones will screw you for a penny, while the good ones will actually help you too. It's too bad you can't let this "bubble" thing go, there are many smarter people than me, and even the brightest economists didn't see this recession coming.

I've always thought that a person of average intelligence and slightly-higher-than-average willingness to work would make a killing as a realtor in Hawaii. The few I have had dealings with have always disappointed in the most basic things - returning a call, answering an email, turning up for an appointment.

An off-island friend was trying to sell his house for 350K after the most recent tenants had left, and with a potential client coming from the mainland to do a viewing, the realtor couldn't even be bothered to throw out the food that had gone moldy in the fridge. The client was disgusted. No sale.

(Note: I haven't yet had the pleasure of dealing with the realtors who post here on Punaweb!)

Well don't expect me not to crow about being right like the way you did back in 2006. I recall the boastful way you acted, bragging about predicting the previous rise and all your certificates or whatever like that gave you the ability to predict the future. I also recall that many economists actually said the recesssion was coming but people like you refused to listen. Instead you ridiculed those like me who agreed with them.
