The Bull in my yard
#21

Is it friendly? You can setup a temporary fence using that cheap plastic orange "construction" fencing. If it's ever been fenced before they usually don't "know" that they can bust right through it and wont try. That should pen it up until the appropriate authorities get there.

Yah...that's not something I'd do...haa haa! Too chicken!! I'm wondering if you watch his activity from the safety of your house? 'Cause you've gotta have big ones to just walk out and say, "Hey bull...stay here while I fence you up." LOL!!!!

yeah, that, much as I appreciate the suggestion. Pots and pans idea is good ... except that it would only retreat to some other part of my property.

It comes and goes unpredictably. There are three properties it can access when it comes up the driveway. It wanders around eating, drinking, carousing against statuary, then ambles down the driveway and off to other properties. I never know when it will show up, and sometimes that is at night.

It's good-natured enough, but it is large, and it makes me a little nervous that it could appear while I'm up in the orchard and would have to get around it to get back to the house.

If it were here every day rather than once every 3-4 days, I'd apply myself to it, but like I said, it's always moving. I think I'll ask for some local advice at the community meeting Monday.

Hey I just now looked at the picture...HE's CUTE! OMG I hope someone takes care of him and not in a BBQ way. He's just being a bull, right?

[Smile][Smile]I've never asked something like this before, but shouldn't this topic be in the Gardening forum? Could it be moved?

I was hoping it had sunk ... but it's back.
Ever since it appeared, I feel nauseated every time I see the title. Seriously, it triggers a reflex. I am not a fan of bull crap, and it just seems gross to me. All very reasonable to discuss in the Gardening forum ...[Wink][Wink][Wink][Wink]

Edit for smilies.

Why not post about the stray bull with description on Craigslist
in lost and found and farm and garden section.

Good chance someone would be interested and come and catch him.

With all of the Ag on the island I'm surprised the PD doesn't have a Ranch and Grove division that would handle that.
