justthefacts,

Identifying members without their permission is cause for banning. I am not sure if that is what you are doing. Is it?

Just found something interesting. Justthefacts, you have both recommended Paul Shrift and damned trenching. I found this newsletter from 2008 where Paul indicates the he is actually the one to initiate trenching. Interesting.

trenching is digging a trench and that is 100% different from digging a hole opening into someone's property to drain off a collection of water from holes in the road due to lack of material in them . huge difference paul never drained water into private property , the drain ran lengthwise with the road ,the road banked to the side it had a crown on it . . you might want to contact paul S. for the information . I know exactly what he did on the D road and how he did it . what was done last week on C road is completely different it was property damage, because brett dug into and drained water into private property .
try and get guidance from paul , it would really be beneficial to you, the roads , and the residents . that way you will get an better understanding of the roads .

the roads have been starved for material for so long the holes are like craters, the improper scraping has resulted in a road that is lower in the center, the sides are way higher , material has been plowed off causing a berm in some areas . digging the side to drain into private property collapse the road causing further damage to the sides making bigger craters more standing water and mud .

Thank you so much for explaining. Your concerns have been documented and HARC will do it's very best to address them.

The things you have listed are exactly why we property owners need to step up and get things fixed. Either through donating our time, labor, and money, or by donating to HARC. The only way HARC can really do it's job is if enough people pitch in. I know you can commiserate, as this was written in the previously linked newsletter:

"I have done my very best to stretch the money and keep the road maintained and driveable. I am not happy with the road. I just don’t have the funds available to put down more material.I ask please that you contribute something to road dues no matter how small your donation. Every little bit helps, it all adds up to a load of gravel."

The feeling is the same now. We truly want to fix the roads, that's why we joined. There just aren't enough funds there to make real improvements, only maintenance (sometimes not even that).

Can you please ask your friend what the correct fix is for swiss cheese potholes? A block of B Rd has them horribly. I don't want to waste money on something that won't work. The catch: each block is budgeted $400 this year. Unless we get more donations.

Also, how can we get it to stop raining in this rainforest?

the roads are in such horrible condition, worst I have ever seen . HARC has many problems their biggest is what has been going on for the past couple of years to alienate the paying members . rebranding , fancy signs , photo ops can not fix it . I am not inclined to donate money nor encourage people to donate, until I see that HARC is run like a business and lance stops insulting the residents . that individual is one of your biggest problems.
I will be putting material on my road , I will be paying for it myself and if anyone scrapes it off the road I will not be a happy camper.
