Lava-survivable construction
#31
maybe put windows in that can be covered with a few feet of masonry as lava approaches.

After lava passes and covers the lower floors, panels installed on the inner walls may be opened to expose fiber optic lighting cables that can now be used to run daylight into lower floors.

Protective window panels can be designed so they may be removed from the inside to check for lava tubes around the pyramid. If tubes are 7 feet tall or more, they can be converted into underground golf putting lanes, or bowling alleys.

Yea, well, a few years ago I went to an RV roundup in El Paso. Some of the rigs were multi million dollar affairs with tilt outs and pop ups galore -- you should have seen Elvis's touring RV, it had a 20' wet bar. Anyway, Lower Puna is a perfect RV get away. When the lava comes, and it will come, just drive to a high spot and watch the miracle of nature, while the UT game's on half time. Now, I realize there are licensing issues and that's why I'm having mine built with the optional composting toilet and solar evaporating grey water system. And on that note, it really does help to support your political action committees.

This here's really the way to go. You can't hardly afford not to on account of Pele and all.

This would be the ideal lava runner.

Yes, with a gigantic adjustable magnifying glass built into the top that can focus sunlight into a death ray and a 50,000 watt sound system that is automatically activated to make a laser blasting sound when the death ray is used. Just for effect. Vaporize the first few would-be plunderers and the word will get around. Not sure what to do at night though. Any ideas?

now we're talking. switching the 50,000 watt sound system over to a geothermally generated Justin Bieber loop ought to have an equivalent effect.

This is probably the best designed "tiny house" that I've seen so far. Have to agree...ideal "lava runner".

They will build whatever you want if you can figure out how to get it here. They predate the "tiny house" movement by years and have both experience and amazing craftsmanship.
