DHHL is seeking a private attorney
#31
Not sure if this reply is even worth the effort

Unless DHHL is given the go ahead to seek and retain it's own independent counsel re: this situation our discussion is so much hot air and none of it will be worth the effort...it may be hot air anyway!

We'll just have to wait and see...

advises state officials on legal matters so that they may faithfully execute their duties and responsibilities

State DoT against DHHL: conflict of interest?

Better question: did the AG "advise" that DHHL maintain a long waiting list for beneficiaries?

How does the AG interpret Act 14? I'm no lawyer, but the part about "settles all claims" doesn't include any explicit performance obligation.

Not that any of this matters until/unless a higher level of government steps in to "supercede". State will keep running the same old scam.

Here’s another dot.
Ayau has a history of taking the law into his own hands. He’s not a legal expert. Like the protectors he ignores the legal process and does what he wants, and too bad for everyone else:

Which has nothing to do with RCUH. You're still using the wrong dots.

bold by me...

That bold sentence is misleading...taken from the story...

Ayau had been incarcerated since Dec. 27 after refusing to give Ezra information about the location of the artifacts....Ezra ordered Ayau released under supervision from the Federal Detention Center, in large part so he can participate in the closed-door mediation process...The court has "no genuine, practical reason" to keep Ayau imprisoned if he is willing to participate in mediation proceedings in good faith, Ezra said. "I think it would be helpful to have Mr. Ayau attend those."

Aside from your attempt at misdirection, What are your thoughts on Ayan's narrative in the video ?

Try to view this thread in the light of the SUBJECT line of this thread...The RCUH is part of the UH, which is counseled by the AG, which also counsels other State agencies...A glaring Conflict of Interest in this case...my opinion of course!

your attempt at misdirection,

No attempt at misdirection.
Ayau is not a legal expert. He does not folllow the law. His actions and background have little legal bearing on Mauna Kea Access Road. He’s a guy with an opinion who is supposed to be an acting district supervisor for DHHL, but is not listed on their website. He does sue a lot of people if you google him.

Frank, why don’t you tell us who he his, and describe why his background or possible current position gives him the authority to speak on the legal issue of Mauna Kea Access Road?
