My Dewalt is much more like the 2nd hammer drill, but with the handle on the left side, which I think would be easier to use. A handle sticking out the 'bottom' seems like it would be awkward to use.
The bit I used is like both the Metabo and Zoros, but only about 18" in total length.

The larger Bosch looks similar to what I used. You can rent one even larger from Home Depot that would work well. I bet a pneumatic drill would be the cats meow but daily rental is correspondingly high. You would have to have enough manpower to keep the equipment running. A small electric unit, particularly if purchased rather than rented, would allow you to take your time. I can tell you from personal experience that you will give up and collapse several times during the process so don't count on keeping to a strict schedule.

lol Yeah no kidding! It sounds like the larger style spline style drill is the way to go. A similar drill is like $300 a week to rent. Plus the drill bits. Whereas buying a new one is around $500-$700.
