Residents vs. Tourists
#31
But of course, KITV 4 news at 10 top story tonight, Dr. Scott Miscovich says more testing is needed, breakthrough cases may be higher than we think, vaccine doesn't stop the spread, yada yada....

Hard to know what to believe anymore.

Seems pretty simple to me: wear a mask when you're around other people, social distance, get vaccinated. What's so difficult about this?

It's not difficult for you or me. But I'm finding that many people get vaccinated and then feel that they don't have to do those other things.

I'm vaccinated but I still wear my mask etc. The only exception is if we're visiting with another young vaccinated household, in which case we don't wear masks but still distance. I still wear my mask around kupuna, even if we are all vaccinated.

I don't feel the need to wear an N95 to protect myself, since at most I'd probably get a mild case of whatever new strain. But I still wear a well fit surgical mask to reduce my chance of spreading anything.

That's my personal calculus, but I'm open to new information.
