Burger King in Pahoa

Youser... Ummmm we had obesity before fast food.... The problem is not the food, its the lack of activity. But when the government takes care of everything for you, why do you have to move around?

Jon I think if you check the facts you'll discover the obesity rates for adults and more importantly children are much higher since the trend became to dine out in fast food establishments instead of at home.

Since when is it the government's fault people choose to be lazy and choose not to exercise?

Back to Puna, I understand the government is planning to build a bike path along Highway 130. I wonder how many overweight people we'll see out there riding their bikes to the new Burger King in Pahoa?

I was meeting someone in the Ke'eau MacDonalds parking lot because it's an easy landmark for visitors to find. I overheard this at the drivethrough box: "Give me two double cheeseburgers- hold the cheese!"

Youser,
That could be me. I often stop for a snack at Micky D's here on the mainland when I am out on a long ride. It is quick inexpensive fuel to help me get back on my bike. At least I'm trying to minimize the damage with some exercise!

OK, I promise to try and not be too shamelessly self promoting, but this thread inspired me to create a new toon.

I'll second that - pretty much inedible IMHO. McDonald's has the better fries but BK has the better burger. At least that is how it used to be. I have not been to either in years.

Go for it, a quick burger or double cheese - but hold the cheese (good one, Greg), all the better for you if it keeps the ol' legs pumpin'! You don't sound like a lazy slob who shovels food down his face for entertainment and boredom, you eat because you need fuel.

Greg, great cartoon, words just don't convey the same message!
