Unfortunately, the exchange/trade is what brought theme here, our growers couldn't ship'm because of the green harvest narco build up, so they brought over heroin and cocaine to swap for buds.

They have also infiltraed the whole country, so don't blame the growers.

It all started with the war on drugs and green harvest.

I'm sure growers had their fair share influence on the entire industry. I myself was extremely upset back in the mid seventies on Maui seeing some growers there trade their sacred sacrament for cocaine!!! I knew it was the start of the end of something really good during the early 70's once this practice started to become the norm! Back then growers would trade a pound of herb for an ounce of insecurity. Then they'd sit in their closet and let their world unravel.

no!!!! Look for All helicopters across our nation to be grounded by Fall because of the economy! How can prohibition keep it's pace in a down economy? It's really hard to justify the funds spent trying to eradicate something that will not go away anytime soon.

Folks the time is right to repeal the cannabis laws in our state & nation. It's time to educate people about cannabis 2009, not Marijuana scare tactics of the 60's ,70's. For people who don't know, there is a big difference. A lot of the good folks here could benefit from this knowledge too.

Everyone expected a loosening of the law's with this new admin., but the opposite is turning out to be true. Since Hillary has effectively blamed the US for all the drug problems and weapon problems(even though the cartels are much made of Mex army deserters! Over 100,000 in the last years, and many of them elite Rangers who came to the cartels armed and ready). Using M-16, real assault rifles, provided by the US govt.,they're a strong force. But easier to blame the citizens than themselves, and Hillary has always been after our guns.

They will find the money for green harvest somewhere. If it's national guard, it can be written off for training. It also helps to get the troops used to working against civilians, mabe even a good place to train the new "civilian army" of youth, it's happened before.

And the money will come from taxes, much of which will be disguised as "fees".

I concur with Beachboys take on the current climate. We'll know more as states move forward.

I think Obama is telling the states and the public, that if you want change, make it happen, because he won't. I doubt he'll fight the states on this.

Now is the time for all good countrymen (and women) to bookmark mpp.org and norml.org and send out letters to our reps online from these sites.

Maybe get someone from Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, <leap.cc/cms/index.php> to do a Hawaii lecture tour, addressing state and local officials and the public.

Sure would make an interesting debate in the capitol, it would have to be specifically for pot only.

Yes indeed it would.

I'll contact the local chapter of Americans For Safe Access and get their thoughts.

One more state, (CT.?), is now considering legislation similar to what's being proposed in CA.

Hey guys, what's the big deal? If all 50 states went for it, the issue would still be open. But I do smell danger if such a thing happened.

LeeE, if all 50 states clamored for legalization and the Federal Government "Just Said No", it would signal a confirmation that the rights and wants of American Citizens have become null and void. As such, the Federal Government would have come out of the closet and exposed itself as being an enemy of the people that it is constitutionally bound to serve, and our future as a nation would enter uncharted territory.

I finally had to respond.

Do you really think the state of Utah is going to be clamoring for this. They just changed the law to allow people to buy a drink without joining a club first.

So there will be a few states in favor, but the majority will oppose.
