VICTORY in sight for Gay Civil Unions
#31
I understand your point, Rob, but irrational hatred has always been particularly hard for me to move on from. I always hold out hope that I can change someone's mind. It wouldn't be the first time I saw someone get it. It's only through dialogue that some people are exposed to a different point of view.

"Line um up against a wall and shoot em", "irrational hatred" .........Dugger are you OK?
This is just MY opnion on the issue, relax.

Punaticbychoice; "civil unions would permit non-related couples to share benefits"
What about related couples?

Would you deny these people the same "basic rights" as everyone else?

I was just asking. Sorry if I offended you. I don't know where you are coming from. Do you hate gay people? If not, do you like gay people?
I am relaxed. Just to let you know. Really just trying to figure out where you are on the issue besides the fact that you don't believe it exists. Really didn't mean to offend. Sorry.

Kalama boy,

Why don't you read the proposed legislation and then you could explain it to us instead of hyping hypothetical situations?

I liked the three jars of pickles and ball of yarn line someone used. That was funny.
Assume the best and ask questions.

suggest you take a look in punaweb archives under the thread started by kalmaboy "DADT" (don't ask don't tell".
That will give you some insight into how kalamaboy views gays. Kinda focused on the showers with gay guys in the military. He brought up showering with gay guys twice in that thread. Just saying....

Now now, Orchid. Sorry but I don't think that's helpful. Maybe it's better to speak directly to someone. Not that I'm one to talk.
Kalama, I may be wrong but I think there's a reasonable person in there. Honestly, I've come across your attitude countless times. You were raised a certain way and some of us were raised another. I'm not a religious person, but it's hard to argue with the reported teachings of Jesus. Do you think that Jesus would have rejected a gay person? Your bible also says prostitution is wrong but Jesus accepted the prostitute. Why would he reject the gay person? He didn't have a King James bible to refer to. He acted from his heart. There have always been gay people and always will be. You don't have to be friends with any but why would you deny them happiness or equality?

Pretty straight forward question Rob, and one I am sure will be asked and need to be discussed sooner than later. I am sure your opinion on the question would be wise and respected.

Orcidlandguy, mahalo for the refresher on my previous posts, it's good you follow my views on the issue.
Now that that's out of the way, care to answer either of the valid questions I have asked?

Kalama, can you ask your questions in a different way that maybe I can understand?
You know, you live in one of the gayest areas of the country. How about Love thy neighbor?

Dugger, my views on the subject are formed more by nature itself than anything else.
Homosexuality is a known evolutionary deadend.
