Dayna - is your friend who sells the eggs in Puna? If not, I'll likely follow-up on Rocketman's suggestion.
Yes, she tried to join punaweb but has not been approved or something. Shoot me a message through this forum and I'll send you her information.

A big thank you to everyone who posted information on the BBQ/mexican fusion restaurant. I think we are going to give it a try next week. Apologies for not making it on here sooner to extend my thanks. The PW tribe is truly fantastic!

Ate at Carrisal again today. Third time. I've never had the Puna hat trick before: three excellent experiences in a row. But it happened. In fact, each time has been an improvement over the previous. The food has been exactly the same each time (excellent) and this time the service was tons better and the food came out in 1/2 the time even though they kept apologizing because they were switching from breakfast to lunch (at 11:45? but... whatever).
The food was so good we wound up ordering extra "to go" for dinner tonight. They added beef brisket to the menu (maybe it was a special, written on white board) and YUM.
It isn't particularly cheap (bacon swiss burger and fries $13) but the portions are huge and the quality is worth it. Still can't believe they can cook a thick 1/2 pound patty to absolute perfection every time. Not pink, not dry and perfectly seasoned. The lady told us today that they now bake all the bread products in-house from scratch. I didn't know they weren't doing that before, but now we know.
There is still an air of disorganization in the place but it is gradually getting better.
