Then you’ll find this article a laugh riot:
How variants like omicron develop and what makes them variants 'of concern'
When a virus circulates widely throughout a population, as has been the case with Covid-19, however, the chances of it mutating become higher, Dr. Deepti Gurdasani, a clinical epidemiologist at Queen Mary University of London explained.
(Question: what would create a situation that allows a virus to circulate widely through a population?)
She also said that the potential risk in South Africa, given its low immunization rates and limited public health resources to curb spread, is also of particular concern.
(Question: how would low immunization rates affect the spread of COVID?)

I'd highly recommend refraining from relying on news providers who cherry pick experts to provide an opinion via implication with respect to how variants are created.
The reality is this. This virus and it's vaccines are still within the early stages of study and most importantly, independent studies are rather limited at this time.
That said, with each passing month, independent researchers from across the globe are finding extremely important information about how this virus and it's components effect the human body with respect to immune system functions and a whole host of other aspects.
There are currently two very concerning studies that made it through the vaccine protection blockades within the predominate medical journals. Both presenting findings that are not favorable to the vaccine or the virus itself.
One being the spike proteins ability to penetrate a cells nucleus and inhibit both BRCA-1 and 53BP1 enzyme DNA repair marker functions. This allows a myriad of potential issue including but not limited to, improper protein reproduction with respect to replicated virus by the cells, cancerous mutation development and improper T and B cell receptor production. In this scenario, variant creation is potentially possible due to cellular repair disabilities influencing viral reproduction.
Atop this study is another study, the spike proteins S2 region attaching to CD147 receptors of vessel pericytes. The pericytes function is to repair vessel walls but upon a spike protein attaching to the CD147 receptor (not the famed S2 receptor), the pericytes move away from the vessel wall and release chemicals that induce vessel wall swelling and damage. It's been suggested that perhaps CD147 blockers may counter this potential damage by spike proteins.
The point is, there's no reason to carry water for Pfizer or any other pharmaceutical company. Allow science to do its job and stop trying run interference by parroting a propaganda piece created for the benefit of public opinion in favor of pharmaceutical companies. They have their hands full with the FDA FOIA request documents that just began being released today by court order. Scientist from around the world will be scouring through those documents as they are released and reporting back their opinions on what they've wanted to know since day 1.
It's not a good time to be speculating on how the O variant was created, nor is it beneficial to promoting social tranquility. Stirring the proverbial pot to either scare the public who were vaccinated about being variant makers or scaring the public about unvaccinated being variant makers. That is irresponsible rhetoric. Let science do it's job, we can all flesh it out after all the facts have come in.
Don't you find it a little fishy that anyone would be, without solid scientific proof, be promoting a position through nakid implication of what group is responsible for what? That's dangerous journalism in my opinion. The sort of journalism that people need to reject, whole heartedly.
