Kind of ironic that I'm searching high and low for a house that allows cats that has one to bedrooms here in Ashland and find nothing under $1300 and even those ask for pet deposits (on top of first,last and dep as much or more than rent) or say flat "no" as soon as they hear the word "cat." Yet an ad for a not two, not three, not four, but a
FIVE bedroom house that allows cats pops up
on our Punaweb Forum. lol
Oh well, with all these grand deposits here, it'll be my savings for the move.

It looks like we found a place here in Ashland to rent for just 6 months - will know for sure tomorrow :-) The timing's perfect for the owners and for us. They want to move into the house in 6 months, and our cats will be ready to go with us to the BI before then. We found a couple other places we like, but the timing on this one is perfect. And my friend in HPP predicts the rents will be down a bit by then too. That would be nice, but they're better than here, so I'm not complaining :-)

Ugh...I just listed my house 3 weeks ago, I'm in the 4th week...it's slow. I'm getting a little worried about it, and I will have a price reduction in another 1-2 weeks. I hope it doesn't take too long to sell. I'm not moving to Hawaii, but I DO want to live there part time throughout the year.
Any bites on your house yet ? Where in SoCal are you ?

We just put our house on the market today (the one in Tempe, AZ). And yes, I buried St. Joseph...coidn't hoit! We'll see what happens in this neck-o-the-woods with real estate slowing somewhat. We've been workin' pretty hard to make it happen.
Our closing is delayed for just a few days...the owners are Japanese and need to make a trip to the American Consulate to sign the papers...can't notarize at a bank like we can here. But that's okay, it's still going well. Once the Closing happens on Hawaii home...we'll get the container ordered and make our reservations for our trip HOME. It's a lesson in patience for me - something I don't have naturally - it's definitely an "acquired" thing on my part.
When I talk to St. Joseph - I'll add a note in for Cindy V and Tikiyaki too...hope our homes find new owners quickly and we are all happily enjoying some Awa on a lanai on the Big Island! LOL

St. Joseph works! Our daughter and her signifigant other buried one a couple days before they listed one of their bay area homes. 10 days later they had a full price offer, as is, 21 day escrow.
Start marketing St. Joseph statuettes to realtors!
