How can you not like real estate people? They have to be the most optimistic people around. 'Now' is always the perfect time to buy, no matter what!

I never ever even met with StillHope, so it has to be my PHD. (I do have a PHD, a Pretty Huge Dick!) [:I][:I][:I] On the other hand, I just had lunch with KathyK, and I didn't see her turning, so what are you smoking? Anyway, at least you still love me after all these years. PS. You must be a real genius economist paying off your mortgage. The mortgage rates are less than the current inflation rate, not to mention factoring in the mortgage tax deduction. I agree with Paul. One has to have a lot of optimism and determination to stick it out. My hats off to em'. All it took for me is to get screwed over once and I couldn't take any more.
I remember what an old friend said when I told him I was going to sell Real Estate on Maui. He just looked at me straight faced and said " Are you a movie star?"
One Thing I can always be sure of is that things will never go as expected.

When the clients that RE agents are dealing with are speculators and not home buyers, what do you expect? The agents are sales people, working on commission. There is puffing. This is not unique to this profession. It is the nature of sales people. Speculators got what they deserved and created. Myself included.

Just for the record Rabi, since you broke your promise again to stay out. Since I retired last year I would be paying more tax if I itemized and used the mortgage tax deduction. That's why I'm paying it off now. Just keep it up some more Rabi. Don't stop for my sake. You're making yourself look real good!

The one sure thing in life, if you hang onto your real estate long enough, you will ALWAYS make money.

quote: Yeah they will huff and puff up a big bag of wind. In this regard there is no difference between the agent and the broker as is being discussed in this thread. As you all have just seen, it get's much worse when the agent or broker is a speculator themself. They take it very personally when shown that they were puffing.

quote: This is typical Rabi. He attacks anyone who disagrees with him. He says you are in love with him if you respond to his outrageous comments. He signs off on another blog with something like he is a gay nazi trapped in a lesbian body. (What an insult to gays). He is anything but a professional. Would you buy anything from this broker or his agents? Someone who talks about the size of his ***** on blogs? Get over yourself, Rabi. Those of us who are working to become debt free and pay off mortgages should be applauded in this depression economy, not made fun of by a "professional" real estate broker.

HE releasing earnings in few hours-
http://www.zacks.com/research/get_news.php?id=213l9347 Going to be very attractive if downtrend takes to 6% div given (I have to be careful what I say the way things are going) the defacto state sponsorship. Then we'll see how serious this buyout group is- sounds like a bunch of pipedreamers with lack of clout(money)???

Since this thread has wandered way off topic anyway, I don't feel bad making the following observations:
1) If someone is really being a jerk/moron/idiot/(insert your own adjective here) on PunaWeb, the rest of us can probably figure it out on our own without others pointing it out to us. 2) If someone devotes an inordinate amount of time pointing out that someone else is a jerk/moron/idiot/(insert your own adjective here), that person should be aware that at least three of their fingers are pointed back at themselves as well. You also become a candidate for point number 1. For the record, I am not saying that anyone in this thread is a jerk/moron/idiot/(insert your own adjective here). However, if you thought I was referring to you, that might be a red flag waving at you... |
