I hear they evac'd vacationland...is that everybody there or just any tourist people?...

Just the parts that always flood. And of course posted notices that the tidal pools were closed.

It's 9:00 Am - little wind, little rain, but cloudy and dark. Girls went to airport and just got back. They said raining hard in Hilo. HA Checked in and it was raining hard up there. Going to check the surf on Waiopae with the big truck when R gets back from a jobsite in an hour or two. (he went to check the lua! ha ha )

Check out the weather page at http://www.instanthawaii.net -- it has 3 good weather loops on the same page. The edge of the "main" part of the hurricane is not here quite yet.

This is my favorite weather site: http://home.hawaii.rr.com/wi000/whnl.html if you scroll down there are some great satellite images.

Not much rain here in Hawaiian Shores so far...everyone stay safe and (hopefully) dry.

The sun is trying to break out in lower HPP. I just finished mowing my front lawn. There's been a few very light showers from time to time....but so far just normal tradewind weather.

I figure after a few more hours around 2PM if no major winds start picking up then we will luck out and we will all be left talking about the quake.... And of course this is a good thing.

So far it's 12:15 time and it's pretty normal (weather wise) I'd say the hurricane is about as close as it's going to get (looking at the sat loop that is half hour behind) Funny tho that the eye is getting more defined....

There is only two sources of sat loops one from accuweather and the other from noaa...

Take your pick...

It's not the wind I'm concerned about, it's the rain
