I certainly agree that citizens need to be vigilant re: the police and others who have power. I personally think that since there is obviously a significant number of citizens in our democracy who wish to smoke marijuana, the legislature should look at legalizing it. In a society where alcohol and tobacco are legal in spite of how detrimental their use is, why shouldn't marijuana be included? In the meantime, our boys in blue are caught in the middle and must enforce the law. Say--isn't Del Pranke the guy who got arrested about ten years for stalking our police chief? Isn't his idea to peek into Mr. Kimura's house with night vision optics illegal? How come he is still loose? Chandler Price (Puna).

About the FLIR. That's the point. Police are using Nat'l Guard helicopters with Military grade FLIR to look into people's houses, even though the State Supreme court says it's illegal.
