2018 HPP District Elections
#61
As usual.
Personally, I think the majority of the BOD should just resign in shame. Just try driving down your road and you will know that they have not done us any favors by Volunteering to be on the Board. We are paying for neglect, not Road Maintenance.

Any way to challenge the Board's decision in overriding the Nominating Committee's recommendation?

I think just for starters don't vote for Crelly.

Will the observers for the ballot count know the numbers when all is said and done? I remember the story was that the numbers changed after they were tallied to when the board announced the winners.

I totally concur Kenney....physical evidence of their failure in road management are the massive pothole problems throughout the park. Some members call them craters now. Never seen it this bad.

Good question on whether the ballot count observers can get the ballot count numbers in real time. The other question is whether Nanawale who the board planned to hire all along, is a "reputable counter" as our bylaws require. Don't they need some sort of permit or license?

mikewj, I doubt the board would react to a challenge by anyone...it's like water off a duck's back. Their brazen actions says it's been about what's best for their own agendas.

As Leo suggested, I believe by not voting for Crelly would reap the most effective results.

Aloha HPP members,

Something's come to the Nominating Committee's attention very recently....has anyone in Dist's 1, 7, 8 or 9 gotten any ballots? These districts do NOT have any elections this year but turns out some people have received ballots.

Please respond here if you live in those districts and have received a ballot and please give the name of the candidate/s that are on the ballot.

If you don't know what district you're in you can go to page 26 HPP Bylaws:

http://www.hppoa.net/newsite/wp-content/...2-2010.pdf

The board illegally took the Nominating Committee out of the equation after the NC disqualified Crelly as a nominee for Dist 6 in March. So they and the GM have been in total control from then on.

Mahalo.

Now that Crelly is on the ballot, it doesn't matter how District 6 residents vote.

I'm in district 7 and did NOT receive a ballot. Wish I did. [Smile]

I think the idea of districts should be scrapped and that way everyone has an equal say of who’s elected to the board.

Old Croc,

On or off the ballot.

Care to expound on your seemingly blind support of Crelly ?

I've followed the Crelly legacy since he first came to the Board years ago.
You mistake my bitterness at reality for support.
