Crelly's the worst president I've ever seen. All you got to do is look at the decline of the roads and the mismanagement of our road fees. He's for the board and no one else. We voted to have a forensic audit and he and the rest of the corrupt board nixed it. No one knows what's going on with our road fee money look at the giant potholes on most of the roads and they keep raising the road fees. Where's the money going?

Stakes are higher for the pres and VP, who were both pres and VP back in 2016, and both are candidates vying for another 3 yr term in this election. The majority board taking control of the slate of candidates and the election ballots is a conflict of interest and is supposed to be handled by a membership committee, the Nominating Committee. We still don't know if Nanawale is a "reputable" ballot counting organization which is required by our bylaws and being this board's choice from the get go.... Other organizations were suggested but Mizuba(current VP) and Crelly (current president) pushed for Nanawale and it wasn't about their cheap cheap rates. They spent more money this year getting the ballots printed since that whole thing got behind approx 3 wks so they could put Crelly on the ballot at the April board meeting. Add to the mess that people are getting ballots that shouldn't be getting ballots since their districts aren't having elections this year.

RWR, if you have read "HPP Biz," this thread, and leo's and mermaid's comments above, you should not be confused.
I have never been on the Board.

quote:The proposed 6 bylaw changes, which included a mandatory forensic analysis, are a different topic than the election fraud occurring even as we type. The current board completely ignored the membership vote at the Feb 25th meeting to proceed with sending the 6 bylaw amendments out to the entire membership for approval. Some of the 6 amendment votes, upon approval, would have taken effect immediately and appears were personally too dangerous for the general manager, Don Morris and his office thugs to allow to happen. Therefore, the board completely ignored the Bylaw Committee spokesperson at the Mar. board meeting and have not put the committee on the last 2 board meetings. Two troublesome amendments were; 1. a forensic analysis would have begun immediately and 2. Bylaw rewrites and amendments to provide for the hiring of a Professional Management Company and in fact a Professional Management Research Committee (which was voted on at the Feb. meeting) was tasked by the membership, to start the process of researching to hire a management company to replace the HPP office employees and would included professional road maintenance management.

Two other bylaw amendment proposals that were on the Bylaw Committee ballot that were voted on at the Feb Membership meeting, and equally as important was a conflict of interest bylaw with black and white description and enforcement language. It would make it very difficult or perhaps even impossible to have another situation like we had with the Crellys from happening again. Currently there is no real enforcement language and having it will make all the difference.
The other one would give members an easier opportunity to get the ball rolling on recalling their directors. Right now the bylaws say it takes 200 signatures and the bylaw amendment proposes 100 petition signatures to start a recall ballot on a director. There's been a lot of discussion lately by members who want to get rid of their director and this will definitely make that process a lot simpler. Of course in the end, it all rests on whether we get at least 600 returned votes from the entire membership by ballot vote, and 2/3's are affirmative. Then the bylaw becomes active immediately after the count of the ballots is confirmed.

A friend recently provided me with this bit of info....in the photo of this news clip is Tanya Seaver who's a candidate for District 4 HPP Election. Tanya was one of the rescuers of a couple dogs and a cat from Leilani Estates eruption.

Many people in Puna have been affected with flowing lava, evacuations and homelessness, and many in HPP are assisting our Puna friends and family. Obie, your disrespect is typically nasty and inappropriate. When the dinner bell rings on any and all HPP threads, one can be sure you'll arrive as is your MO, poking, as if you have NO connection to HPP...there's YOUR drama. Why don't you and your majority board STOP. |
