Insurance policies can be written to exclude negligence, recklessness, breach of contract, and some are. For example, credit card coverage of rental cars is voided if the driver violates the rental contract. It's not a black and white answer. It depends on the policy (the fine print).

But we were not discussing credit card coverage. We were discussing insurance company coverage, which is altogether different.

Rusty,

good reading at 27 below zero. Tom what is the temp like on other planets past mars? Seems like livng where I do is another planet.
All the planets past Mars are gas giants so are a little different to Earth, but I'd take -27 degrees before conditions on those planets! As they are gas giants they have no well-defined solid surface as such, but typical mean temperatures on their "surfaces" are very approximately Jupiter -240 degrees Fahrenheit, Saturn -300, Uranus -320 and Neptune -350 degrees.
I'd consider your place or Puna before ever moving to those places. Of course the atmospheres are utterly poisonous to us and when you find a nice temperature somewhere deep down in the atmosphere of Jupiter for instance, you'd likely be crushed to death by the atmospheric pressure. Even a cold night on Mauna Kea seems like paradise compared to those planets!

"Things like the telescope will be the first to be cut. These people do not see what is coming and the importance of preparing for the new way of living."
Oh, you're one of those! The "let's not spend money on roads because this time next year we'll all be eating bark" crowd. I'm afraid you've been sent to the wrong forum, there's another one in Puna which discusses at length the coming Hunger and the effect of chemtrails on potato production.
Your dire warnings are pointless here, we're all in denial.

I don't understand, anthony. Perhaps you just hit Puna on a bad day. My experience has been altogether different. For instance, when I walk into a shop in Pahoa, the proprietor always gives me a warm smile and then invites me to take whatever I'd like from the shelves, and don't worry a bit about paying for it. It's always their pleasure to take me in hand and provide for me. And I never see any KAPU signs. In fact, wherever I go, why folks just drop whatever selfish thing they were doing and invite me into their homes, where I'm then welcome to shower and have a nap and play with the children. After all, they recognize me as a fellow human without an ounce in me of that nasty individualism you used to always hear about, before knowledge was outlawed by spontaneous, unanimous acclamation. That was a fine day, wasn't it? And now that we've torn down all those awful telescopes the military was using to fight their photon wars with, why life is just grand. People die in just the right proportion to make sure the rest of us don't have to fret too much about food, and if there is a shortage you can usually just swindle some from the nearest blind person, there being plenty of those around since eye surgery was outlawed. Yessir, life in Puna just couldn't get much better. So before you give up on us and move away, give it another go. Love and Aloha, brother.

ROTFLMAO!
Or then there is "Beat of Hawaii" where you can find a cheap flight back to wherever, although, wherever you go, there you are.

actually the topic is not insurance companies at all. that is what YOU were discussing. the topic thread is about the telescope, not insurance companies.
