Dust bowl
#1
Looks like another beautiful day in Puna, but with no rain.

Those of us living on dirt roads would like to remind everyone to please slow down when driving. The slower you drive, the less dust we eat!

thanks

All that dust and acidic volcano stuff is accumulating on your roofs in this dry spell. A brief shower just washes it all into your catchment.

If possible, put a bypass in the catchment system between the roof and the tank. There are many ways to divert water until a significant rain falls again (Trades return). I just cover the pipe going into the tank with a bucket; but a Tee connector with a ball joint somewhere on the down spout would be easy too. [8D]

hit the floor each morning, the devil says

"Oh Crap, She's up!"

It is actually raining as I type this right now in Keauhou. NOAA is forecasting a 60% chance of rain for tonight through Thursday night for Lower Puna. here's to hoping.

Stay well.
