the other day, we were on that road and i had to "cock" my head in order to see the store's sign. it's hardly noticeable.
if in fact that the previous owner was selling adult items, how is it that shipman didn't know about it? supposedly, they are to be notified by the plaza owners of all potential busniesses and their activities prior to any subleases being granted.

Pedophiles in sex shops? Why? All the "models" are over 18!
Why do so many people have problems with the issue of sex??? It's fun, it feels good, and it makes the world go round. But oooh, protect the kiddies from it. They shouldn't know what's going on behind the doors of sex shops and strip clubs, as well as in their parent's bedrooms. Are you kidding??? They know. We all know. So what??? Were these kids able to picture in their little minds exactly what happened when Bill Clinton got his pipes cleaned? Of course they did, right down to the very last drop and it was all over broadcast TV. How much more pornographic can you possibly get?

There are a lot of countries where the culture is more open about sex, and they seem to be a bit more well adjusted about the topic. We try to scrutinize certain adult venues, when in fact, all over prime-time tv, there is blatant sexual imagery and inuendos. There are numerous popular tv shows that have overt sexual dialogue, inuendos, and the bra is now completely optional even on family-type shows. Seems this is a private property issue, nothing to do with passers-by or the community as a whole.

Ric -- you are so right. In America, sex is everywhere. And yet we get all prudish about some things. Those two strains run together, sometimes literally wrapped around each other. I like the way Joni Mitchell said it when describing our times:

Personally I don't mind being on the mailing list but if you have some balls and will buy in person it will save you a LOT of money. Wussies buy from catalogs and pay dearly for the anonymity :-)
