Oh, Here we go. An Ex-Oregonian tossing out a California bashing. The rest of the point is understood.

Daniel, out of big respectfor you I'll say that if I posted something separately -it was only because of the necessity to address an extremely important issue when it might be still time and save it from being drowned in a personal attacks or irrelevant stuff.

StillHope,

The folks on Punaweb are able to sort through all that stuff and decide for themselves how important an issue is without thread after thread being created on the same topic.

Aloha, Dan

Point made Dan, I'll apologize for the "California" statement.

What I do get upset with is coming to the Punaweb, and seeing it dominated by SH or any of the other people that have done the same thing over the last 5 years. Look at the number of posts from each of us in a given length of membership here and understand why I made the last statement. If there is so much to be said SH, why not start a blog? I don't think I'm really hi-jacking a thread, as there are 2 or 3 others going already.

I sincerely apologize if I overreacted.
I am really concerned and even scared.

I am looking at the empty lots not too far from my house and think
that they are good enough for a helipad, soccer field practice or anything else that can be "good for the community".

Really - I am sorry for posting more than one tread.

Royall not everyone from Cali is a pain in the arse are they? ;(

I think if I bought a piece of property I'd know what was next door, wouldn't I. I know I'm one of the little people, but really it isn't that hard is it, would I need a neurosurgeon? Are there neur never mind goodnight Gracie.

Imagine Seaview or any of the other rural subdivisions in Puna at "buildout". That's a house on each lot with maybe three, four, or more people in it.(with absolutely no services)

Where will all these kids go to school? What will the entrance be like at 7:00 am with hundreds of commuters leaving at the same time for Hilo? What will the noise levels be with hundreds of stereos and televisions competing for volume? Lawn mowers, weedeaters, chainsaws, Teenagers with nowhere to go? How many vehicles will be driving in and out all day for groceries found elsewhere?

This could very well be the future of Seaview as dictated by our government. Does SPACE really sound so bad compared to the county's planned trajectory?

I would again like to personally thank Graham and people like him for having a different vision. Sustainability, nurturing keiki, community, shared space, arts and education, community forum, on and on.

Big egos? No arguments there; that and organizational skills are what it often takes to implement positive and revolutionary change.
