Isn't this the perfect time/use for Impact Fees?

So what happened? It's been almost a month since they "supposedly" broke ground for the new target/safeway. Has anyone seen or heard anything happening? They haven't even cleared the land yet!

Goodfellows Brothers is gearing up as we speak. You should see activity at the site any day now.

They were clearing when I was at Home Depot on, uh, Wednesday?

Swinerton Builders, not Goodfellow Brothers is the contractor building the Hilo Target.

It takes awhile to get the permits to start grubbing and grading the land. Swinerton pulled the permits to demolish the warehouse on the property in late January.

Would anyone know or have access to the cost per square foot for the project?

I'd be very interested to hear that figure.
Assume the best and ask questions.

Hey all this talk about stores, did anyone read about the double homicide that took place at one of the Safeway stores on the mainland? It was bizarre. It seems that this guy decided to kill his wife in order to collect two million in insurance. So he approched a friend of his to see if he would be interested in helping. The friend said it wasn't something he wanted to get involved in, however he had a cousin Arty who had recently been released from prison who may be interested. The friend agreed to set up a meeting between the husband and his cousin. As they discussed the situation the husband told Arty that he would not be able to pay him until he collected on the policy. Arty told the husband as a code among theives so to speak that some money would have to exchange hands in order to seal the deal, even if it was a token payment of a dollar. So it was agreed. Next the Cousin began to get familiar with the wife's routine and decided he wanted to carry out the murder in a public place, he decided to kill her while she was shopping for groceries. The time was set and as an alibi the husband would be home logged on his computer, as it happened he couldn't help but check on his insurance policy only to find out his wife had canceled it. I guess the marriage wasn't going well. In a panic the husband rushed to the Safeway where his wife shopped only to find out he had arrived a moment to late to stop Arty from strangling the wife. After explaining what had happened with the policy, Arty was so furious he choked the husband as well. So the headline in the paper the next day read "Arty Chokes Two for a Dollar at Safeway". Bizarre I tell you!
