There's something funny (maybe ironic) about a person with a member name related to a pig posting a picture of a rabbit being cooked. Reminds me of those TV commercials with the cows telling us to "eat more chicken".

I want to wish all of you a very happy Glen's birthday. It is also the birthday of Jerry Brown and Billie Holiday. That tells you all you need to know about me: cranky old aesthetic with a lot of soul.

The PunaWeb party I had scheduled for this month (two years ago) ha been postponed indefinetely. It was predicated on my still being with my now ex-partner. The beginning of the end of that was a year and 4 days ago. It has been a long, jagged, frightening and unpleasant year but I am still plotting a move to Puna and am doing everything I can to achieve escape velocity.

I'm a little pessimistic and fatalistic now and the romance has been slapped right out of me but it is in my nature to think big, to dream big, and to try to live my life like a character in a book. I know the sun also rises, and that one day, it will rise for me from the East. Puna will happen and I will live in my house. For now I will just visit and a visit is nigh.

Many blessings on my Punatic friends today and may you enjoy my birthday from Puna dawn to Puna dusk. Please take a little sip of sundown for me from the lanai and know I will see you in my dreams.
